Jeremy Clark is a professional percussionist native to Peoria, IL. He obtained his Associate in Arts Degree from Illinois Central College, and attended Bradley University, studying percussion under Ms. Peggy Bonner. He has toured throughout the United States with various groups including Jack Morgan and the Russ Morgan Orchestra, and the world famous Dallas Brass. Early career ventures led him to Europe to play at the Montreux and Brienz Jazz Festivals in Switzerland, the Umbria Jazz Festival in Italy, and the Vienne Jazz Festival in France.
While residing in St. Louis, Missouri, Clark performed with the St. Louis Brass Band, St. Charles Municipal Band, St. Charles Big Band, Compton Heights Band, Gateway City Big Band, and the Blue Knights of Swing. Clark now resides in Central Illinois where he formed JC and The Redemption, an 11-piece soul/funk/stax band with whom he had the honor of playing with Victor Wooten.
He currently performs with the Peoria Symphony Orchestra, Illinois Symphony Orchestra, Water Street Stompers, Central Illinois Jazz Orchestra (CIJO), Central Illinois Jazz Society House Band, Peoria Area Civic Chorale, and the Peoria Municipal Band, among others. Besides playing regularly, Clark is very active in the educational scene giving clinics to numerous local schools as well as presenting clinics at the Illinois Music Educators Conference and the Midwest Clinic in Chicago.
He is the Drumline Instructor at Dunlap High School as well as the Percussion Instructor at Limestone Community High School in addition to his private studio at Clark Music Studios. He also has several arrangements published with Alfred Music and enjoys freelance arranging in his spare time. He also loves being a husband and a father.
Ruth Clark is a professional musician and private lesson instructor from central Illinois. She is a Washington Community High School alum ('04) and earned her Bachelor of Music degree from Bradley University ('08) in Peoria, IL. She teaches private clarinet and saxophone lessons at Clark Music Studios and Washington Community High School in Washington, IL.
Ruth has been teaching private lessons since 2006. She has instructed countless band sectionals at several central Illinois schools including Dunlap High School, Dunlap Valley Middle School, Morton Jr. High School, and Washington Community High School.
She has performed in a variety of ensembles in the central Illinois area including the Peoria Symphony Orchestra, Prairie Wind Ensemble, Bradley University Groove Project, Bradley University Symphony Orchestra, Central Illinois Clarinet Choir, and the Peoria Municipal Band. She has also performed with the Muscatine Symphony Orchestra in Muscatine, IA, as well as the Compton Heights Concert Band and the St. Louis Wind Symphony in St. Louis, MO.
Ruth has enjoyed singing in the Peoria Bach Festival Choir, Bradley University Community Chorus, Saint Louis Chamber Chorus, and the Webster University Choral Society. She has performed in various musical pits throughout the years and has performed at several central Illinois churches including Grace Presbyterian Church and First United Methodist Church in Peoria, IL.
She previously taught private lessons at Kidder Music in Peoria, and initiated and organized a recital program for the students there. In 2017, Ruth presented a clinic at the Illinois Music Education Conference and the Midwest Clinic in partnership with the Morton Junior High School Jazz Band and JC and The Redemption (of which she was the band manager).
Ruth is a licensed foster care parent with her husband Jeremy and they live in central Illinois with their son Thaddeus.
